ORDINANCE 2016 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN CODE <br />TO DELETE OBSOLETE REFERENCES TO COMPACT SPACES, TO MODIFY <br />PROVISION RELATING TO PARKING DIMENSIONS, TO ADD A PROHIBITION OF <br />ASSIGNED - PARKING SPACES AND TO PERMIT GROUND FLOOR OFFICE USES ON <br />LOS GATOS - SARATOGA ROAD WHERE THEY ARE PRESENTLY NOT ALLOWED <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I <br />Town Code Section 29.10.145(i) is added to read as follows: <br />(i) Prohibition of assigned parking spaces. No private parking lots shall have parking <br />spaces assigned to a specific business unless there is excess parking available for the site. The <br />number of spaces assigned to a business shall be limited to the number of excess parking spaces <br />available over the number required by Town Code. <br />SECTION II <br />Town Code Section 29.10.155(m) is amended to read as follows: <br />(m) Standards for disabled accessibility. Parking lot improvements shall be rendered <br />disabled - accessible. Each application for a permit for parking lot improvements shall be reviewed <br />and determined in accordance with the requirements for disabled - accessibility as set forth in title <br />24 of the California Administrative Code. The Development Review Committee may approve a <br />permit for parking lot improvements which reduces the number of parking spaces required <br />pursuant to section 29.10.150. This approval must be based upon a finding that public necessity <br />for disabled - accessible parking spaces outweighs the need for the number of parking spaces <br />required by section 29.10.150. <br />
