Ord 0400-CAUSEY-WILSON ANNEXATIONORDINANCE NO. FOLLOWS AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNIN- HABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "CAUSEY-WILSON ANNEXATION" TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS THE Tai COUNCIL OF THE TOWN. OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS WHEREAS, on the 21st day of May.. 1956,, the Council of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the Town of Los Gato-s., --said territory being therein designated as ItCAUSEY-WILSON ANNEXATION", and said action being taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to a written petition therefor, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said Town; and WHEREAS, said Resolution `did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty d ays from the date of the passage of said Resolution;. and WHEREAS, on the 2nd stay of July, 1956, at the hour of 7s30 o'clock P.M., in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in the To-~m Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine that no protests to said pro- posed annexation have been made by.or on behalf of the owners of one- half of the value of the territory proposed to he annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body;, and Page 1 of Pages ti WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County* of Santa Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory., hereinafter described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and" is hereby annexed to the Town of Los Gatos-, That said territory, the annexation of which to the Town of .Los Gatos is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly described as follows; i Page 2 of Pages fi _s • 0 Beginning on the easterly line of the Town Limits, Town of Los Gatos, at the point of intersection wi~:.•h the northeasterly line of Loma Alta Avenue, being 60 feet.in widths thence south- easterly and easterly along the nort'r..easterly and northerly lines of Loma Alta Avenue to the southeast corner of Lot 5 of the sub- division shown upon that certain map entitled "Spreckels Bi.~ngalow Park". which map was filed for record in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa .Clara, State of California on April 6, .1925 in Book S of Maps, Page 43; thence easterly in a direct line to the southerly end of a curve in the easterly line of Spreckels Avenue as shown upon said last mentioned map, the radius of which curve is 125 feet and the chord length of which is 56$$ feet, said southerly end of said curve being also a point in the easterly line of the hereinbefore mentioned Spreckels Bungalow Park Subdivision; thence following said easterly lime of said subdivision northeasterly and northwesterly to the point of intersection with the northerly line of the subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled "Davis and Cowell Subdivision",, which map was filed for record in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California on September 10, 1$85, in Book B of Maps, Page 2$; thence easterly along said northerly.line of said last named subdivision to the point of intersection with the westerly line of that certain parcel of land as described in the Deed from Alexander Wilson and Betty B. Wilson to William Malcolm Douglas and Ruby V. Douglas, dated May 24, 1950, recorded May 252 1950, in Book 1985 Official Records, Page 301, Santa Clara County Records; thence following the exterior boundaries of said parcel northerly, easterly and southerly to the point of intersection with the northerly line of the hereinbefore mentioned Davis and Cowell Subdivision; thence easterly along.said northerly line of said last named subdivision to the point of intersection with the easterly line of that certain parcel of land designated as Parcel One, as Page of S Pages described in the Order Settling First and Final Account of Executors and For Distribution in the Matter of the EL-~Cate o:y Lois.Mildred Causey, Deceased, dated August 5, :93$; recorded August 12, 1938, in Book 890 Official Records, Page 327, Santa Clara County Records; thence northeasterly following the various co-mrses and distances of said easterly line of said Parcel 0.=~?.e to the point of intersection with the southwesterly line of that certain parcel of land designated as Parcel Two as described in the hereinbefore mentioned Order Settling First and Final Account of Executors and For Distribution in the latter of the Estate of Lois Mildred Causey, Deceaaed~ thence following the exterior boundaries of said Parcel Two southeasterly and norther? y to the paint of intersection with the Town Limits Line, To~Arn of Los Gatos; thence following said Town Limits Line northwester!
