v •a <br />ORDINANCE NO. 313 <br />AN ORDINANCE A121 11MING ORDINANCE NO. 282 OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS FOR FIRE PRUIEN- <br />TION AND LIFE SAFETY IN CONNECTION 11ITH HAZARDOUS MIATERIALS AND <br />PROCESSES, AND REGULATING BURNING WITHIN THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE" <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: That Ordinance No. 232 entitled, "An ordinance <br />prescribing regulations for fire prevention and life safety in <br />connection with hazardous materials and processes, and regulating <br />burning within the Town of Los Gatos and providing penalties for <br />the violation of this ordinance," passed and adopted by the Town <br />Council of the Town of Los Gatos on May 19, 194'7, be amended by <br />adding Section 1 A thereto to read as follows: <br />Section 1 A: Regularly licensed hospitals and rest homes <br />shall be excepted and excluded from the stated hours and specific <br />days provided in Section 1 of Ordinance No. 282; provided, how- <br />ever, that nothing contained herein authorizes any act prohibited <br />by any other ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos and laws and <br />regulations of the State of California; and provide further <br />that there shall be no burning or other manner of disposal of <br />any refuse matter between the hours of 10:00 A. M. and 4:00 P. mi. <br />on Mondays. <br />Section 2: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />urgency measure and necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public health and safety and shall take effect and be in force <br />forthwith from and after its final passage and approval. The fol- <br />lowing is a statement of the facts constituting such urgency: <br />The Town Council finds that regularly licensed hospitals <br />and rest homes accumulate a great deal of refuse matter which <br />-1- <br />
