ORDINANCE No. 310 <br />ANT ORDINANCE REGULATING' HEDGES AND FENCES AT THE CORNERS OF <br />INTERSECTING STREETS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION. <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1. Owners and occupants of any corner lot or <br />premises in the Town of Los Gatos shall keep trees, hedges and <br />growth at the corners of intersecting streets, whether between <br />the curb line and the private lot line or within the private <br />lot or premises, s so trimmed that the height of same <br />shall not exceed three feet above the curb level for a distance <br />of thirty feet measured horizontally in any direction from the <br />point of intersection of the property lines at street corners; <br />provided, however, that trees whose main trunks are exposed to <br />a height of seven and one-half feet above the curb need not be <br />so trimmed or cut. <br />Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any owner or occu- <br />pant of any corner lot or premises in the Town of Los Gatos to <br />erect or-maintain upon said lot or premises any fence exceed-. <br />ing three (31) feet above the curb level for a distance of thirty <br />(301) feet measured horizontally in any direction from the point <br />of intersection of the property lines at street corners; provided, <br />however, that fences that are free from vines and vegetation and <br />which do not obstruct vision of pedestrians and drivers of vehicles <br />may be erected and maintained if otherwise permitted by law. <br />Section 3. Any person violating any provision of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con- <br />viction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding Five <br />Hundred (500.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail <br />r' <br />
