ORDINANCE NO. 1521
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS TO PERMIT
MOBILE HOMES OR OTHER =ORARY STRUCTURES ON DOTS
UPON APPROVAL OF AN ARCHITECTURE AND SITE APPLICATION
THE TOWN OOUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS CATOS ORnAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 1.00.080 of the Zoning Ordinance is amended to read as
"Mobile hone occupied as a dwelling except in a mobile home park
and except as a temporary structure as approved by the deciding
body "
SECTION 2.
CHAPTER 3.75 is added to read as follows:
"CHAPTER 3.75
Temporary Structures
SEC. 3.75.010: =ORARY STRUCTURES
Mobile hones or other temporary structures may be permitted upon
approval by the deciding body. Such approval shall be given only
under the following conditions during the period of occupancy:
a. Adequate parking will be maintained.
b. Utilities are available as required by ordinance.
c. Restroons are available as required by the Chief Building
Official.
d. The structure will not have a long term adverse impact on
the adjacent neighborhood.
e. Approval shall be granted for a specific time limit.
f. Landscaping appropriate to the site and duration of the use."
SECTION 3.
Section 5.20.030 is amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 5.20.030: APPROVAL REQUIRED
Architecture and Site Approval is required in all zones for new
construction of a building, exterior alteration or addition to
a building, exterior alteration or addition to a building, con-
struction of a parking lot, temporary structures, intensification
of land use and as otherwise specified in this ordinance, with
the following exceptions:
(1) Single family dwellings in the R -1, R -1M, R -D,
and R -M zones.
(2) Two family dwellings in the R -1M, R -D, and R -M zones.
(For the purposes of this section only, intensification of land
use means all changes in use which require more parking.)"
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos on October 26, 1981, and adopted by the
following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos at a regular meeting
of the Town Council on November 2, 1981.
