Mayor and members of the LG Town Council:
I am writing regarding item 9 under Other Business. I encourage your support of
KCAT being the entity to use the Venue building.
My family and I have been involved with the property since the beginning,
fundraising, construction, and ope ration.
The other proposals depend on the success of a proposed business plan, if not
successful you will be back here in the same position.
KCAT is a proven entity, they will be here in the future and are a great asset to the
community and the school. Th ey do not develop traffic and do not require much
parking, both issues for this property.
With the growth of Los Gatos High School, the school will be needing the existing
space KCAT now occupies, the Venue building will be a perfect location for KCAT to
r elocate.
The "Place for Teens" now the Venue building was developed for the youth of the
community. KCAT has many students helping operate the facility and provides
instruction in the area of media. So KCAT does serve the youth of the community
and meets the intent of the initial purpose of the facility.
