Attachment 3Mission Statement  KCAT TV15 is the public TV station and digital media center serving Los Gatos and Monte Sereno. We                                    proudly contribute to the vitality of our local communities by producing, creating and broadcasting                          compelling content designed to inform, educate, entertain and inspire. KCAT is a powerful interactive                            platform for collaboration, connection and engagement. We enable everyone to share stories, amplify                       messages and raise visibility through the power of video, TV and social media.  What We Offer  KCAT TV15 programs and services include: professional video production for individuals, organizations                     and businesses, recording and broadcasting local government meetings, as well as classes, youth camps,                         and access to media tools, equipment, training, and low-cost studio facilities.   KCAT – A Commitment to Youth  One of our most rewarding efforts is offering video production opportunities for students with learning                             disabilities and teens at risk enrolled at local schools.   KCAT offers a myriad of media-related programs ranging from video production classes, summer                        broadcast and movie camps, and filming community events (the Parade, graduation, Chamber of                        Commerce events, sports, etc.), KCAT also creates original TV content such as our newest show                              Coffee&Candidates hosted by Dr. Larry Gerston, which offer hands-on opportunities for students to work                           on live studio productions, learn editing, and film on location.  Proposed Terms of Venue Property Lease  The leadership of the Town of Los Gatos has an extraordinary record of providing favorable terms to a                                   variety of financially challenged non-profits using Town or school property. The terms of these leases                              clearly recognize the value and contribution they bring to the community. We believe KCAT falls in the                                same category.  KCAT is requesting to pay rent in the amount of $1 per year for use of the property as part of a multi-year                                              lease with re-negotiations after five years.    Proposed Venue Space Overview  Half the property for KCAT TV15  - TV studios and Control Room - Production areas and Class Rooms Half the property for Community Groups  - Reception, open spaces and seating areas - Reception and Large Conference Room - Offices and work stations - Kitchen - Landscaped outside for camp KCAT was honored 2 years ago to have been selected by the Youth Commission and Town Council to                                   secure a long-term lease of the Venue.
