Please see our mission and desires for the property formally known as ‘The Venue’. Who are we? LFC IAA Bay Area is a 501c3 organization based in Los Gatos that serves as a youth sports club for over 600 youth soccer players and families from ages 5 to 18. As an organization we are 6.5 years old and have grown from 3 players to over 600 supporting boys and girls, offering financial aid to those in need, community events and create a club that exists as a family for our members of all ages, cultures and using soccer to bring everybody together. Mission: Our core mission is to provide every part of the community the ability to play soccer, to be developed and create opportunities for players, while also using soccer as a tool to prevent children being harmed, not for filling life and escapism from hardship in their life. Community Activation: •Elementary Schools o We offer free lunch time soccer to over 8 schools in Los Gatos o We have provided over $5,000 in sponsorship to the school’s projects o We provided camps, programs and soccer training for auctions for the schools •Middle School: Fisher o We offer free lunch time soccer programs o We have our staff coaching the middle school teams and provided community events for them •High School: Los Gatos High o We have donated over $15,000 to the soccer program o We have staff on the boys and girls program to support the school and volunteer time •Los Gatos Youth Science: We have donated to this cause •Veterans Group of Los Gatos: We have connected to begin a partnership to support events and the legacy of veterans in our community Purpose for using ‘The Venue’ •Our core mission is to provide soccer to all of the community and bring them closer together and while we do achieve this through many events we have a desire to create a stand-alone environment that people can continue to meet at, learn at and have a home. •We have many outreach opportunities for the younger players in the community, but we have a desire to serve the middle school and high school age players through the following ways o College education: The application process, contacting schools and preparation o Safe environment after school for children to attend where they can also study, u se computers, seek advice, eat and wait for parents or guardians to collect them o To hold events on education and community service, bring in groups to meet and support them and show them how soccer can bring structure, happiness and more to their lives We feel that the venue is the ideal location and site for us to bring this well needed area to the community and use the sport of soccer to bring people together. Financial Agreement: We would love to be in a position to purchase the property from the city and would ask that we do this on a lease basis, or to obtain a mortgage through the city or a banking institution. If you would like further information, please let me know and we can then also send a detailed proposal for our plans and objectives for the property Kind regards Alex Saunders (President of LFC Bay Area) ATTACHMENT 1
