URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ESTABLISHING A 25 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT
ON A PORTION OF LOS GATOS - ALMADEN ROAD
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos ordains:
SECTION. 1.
The spedd-limit on that 1000 foot portion of Los Gatos -
Almaden Road which is within 500 feet of Camino del Cerro is
25 miles per hour.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance is an urgency ordinance and takes effect
immediately. The facts warranting this determination of urgency
are that a six foot fence has been built at the southwesterly
corner of the intersection of Los Gatos - Almaden Road and Camino
del Cerro. The location of the fence and the curvature of Los
Gatos - Almaden Road at that point block the view, and create a
very serious hazard for motorists driving from Camino del Cerro
onto Los Gatos - Almaden Road. The owner of the fence refuses to
remove or alter it, and until the Town can compel him to do so,
emergency measures are required for the sake of public safety.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance is an urgency ordinance and is effective
immediately on its adoption. The Town. Clerk shall cause this
ordinance to be published within 15 days after its adoption in
a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in
the Town.
This ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on May 19, 19 80 by the
following vote:
