ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOIAM OF LOS GATOS
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE TOMN OF
LOS GATOS OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS "POLLARD ROAD NUMBER ONE
ANNEXATION", TuMI CH IS ' CONTIGUOUS TO THE TO MN
OF LOS GATOS, UPON THE QUESTION SUBMITTED
AT A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID TERRITORY
ON THE 15TH DAY OF ''OCTOBER/R /1957-
Vv hERAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of
the Legislature of the State of California, known as the
Annexation Act of 1913," and pursuant to Ordinance No. 442
adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Los.Gatos on the
26th day of August, 1957,`a special ellection was held on the
15th day of October, 1957, in that certain inhabited territory

contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos designated "Pollard Road
Number One Annexation" and which is hereinafter more particu-
larly described; and
WHEREAS, at said special election the following
question was submitted to the qualified electors residing
in said territory.
SHALL POLLARD ROAD NTIVIBER ONE ANNEXATION BE ANNEXED
TO THE TOtTN OF LOS GATOS?
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns
of the votes cast at said special election that a majority of
all votes cast in said territory on the question of said
annexation favored annexation; and

all proceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly

Los Gatos do ordain as follows:

SECTION 1. That the annexation of that certain
inhabited territory contiguous to the Town; of Los Gatos
designated as "Pollard Road Number One Annexation's be,and the
same hereby is approved as contained in the aforesaid
question which was submitted at the special election held on
the 15th day of October, 1957. Said territory is described
Beginning on the Northwesterly Line of the Town Limits of
Los Gatos, at the point of intersection of the Easterly prolongat-
ion of the SoutIlierly line of Pollard Road, as the saine no:%T exists;
thence jijesterly along said Easterly prolongation of said Southerly

line of Pollard Road, and continuing t'Test erly along said Southerly
line of Pollard Load to the angle point at which said Southerly
line of Pollard Road becomes the Southwesterly line of said Pollard
Road; thence Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line of said
Pollard Road to the point of intersection with the Southerly line
of Wedgewood Avenue, as said intersection is shown upon the 'lap of
the 1j"edgewood Subdivision, vhic f said Map taras filed for record in
the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California in Book "Ell of :Flaps, at page 73, Santa Clara County
Records; running thence in a direct line, Northeasterly to the most
Southerly corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by Nary A.
Frank to Leo J. Frank, by Deed dated July. 7, 1950 and recorded
October 11, 1950 in Rook 2072 of Cfficial Records, page 129, Santa
County
Clara./Records, said most Southerly corner being in the present
1'orthcasterly line of Pollard I-oad; running thence along the
1:1ortheasterly lines of Pollard Road, Northwesterly to the point of
intersection thereof with the Southerly line of Parr Avenue; running
thence along said Southerly line of Parr Avenue, Easterly to the
point of intersection thereof with the Westerly line of Capri Drive,
formerly known as San Tomas Aquino Road; --running thence along the
Westerly line of Capri Drive, Southerly to the point of intersect-
ion thereof i%rith the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of
that portion of Parr Avenue 1ich extends Easterly from Capri Drive;
thence running along said 11jesterly prolongation of the Southerly
line of Parr Avenue, Easterly to the point of intersection thereon"
with the Easterly line of Capri Drive, and the Tom Limits of the
To-vin of Los Gatos; running thence along said Easterly line of Capri
Drive, Southerly to the point of intersection thereof with the
Northeasterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed by A.M.

Davison, as Trustee to Bill Vlamis, by Trustee's Deed dated July 6,
1934, recorded July 26, 1934 in Boo's 697 of Official Records, page
246, Santa Clara County Records; running thence along said North-
the
easterly line of/parcel of land so conveyed to Vla°nis, and the South-
easterly prolongation thereof, Southeasterly to the point of inter-
section of said prolonged line with the Southeasterly line of the
lands of the Southern Pacific Company; running thence along said
Southeasterly line of the lands of the Southern Pacific Company,
Southwesterly to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the LOS
GATOSTIIMES-SARATOGA OBSERVER., a newspaper of
general ci
rculation, printed and published in the Town of
Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly and
regularly
introducted at a regular meeting of the Town'Council
of the Tow
n of Los Gatos held on the j day of October,
1957, and
was thereafter on the day of October, 1957,
at a
