RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO AUTHORIZE TOWN MANAGER TO REJECT BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF
(1) ONE 4X4 TRUCK WITH UTILITY BODY
WHEREAS, the 94/95 adopted operating budget (Equipment Replacement Fund)
provides for purchase of (1) one 4x4 truck with utility body, and
WHEREAS, Town advertised and received bids for purchase , and
WHEREAS, local dealer failed to comply with information to bidders rendering bid
invalid, and
WHEREAS, discussions with representatives from Bay Area dealers indicate abetter
price for vehicle could be obtained through negotiated price.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
to reject bids, and direct staff to negotiate purchase agreement with Bay Area dealers and
return to Council for authorization for purchase of (1) one new 4x4 utility truck.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of January, 1995 by the following vote.
