RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
PROCLAIMING AND DECLARING A LOCAL EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, Town of Los Gatos Town Code Section 8.10.035 empowers the Director
of Emergency Services or Assistant Director of Emergency Services to request the Town
Council to proclaim the existence of a local emergency; and
WHEREAS, Town of Los Gatos Town Code Section 8.10.030 provides that the Town
Manager is the Director of Emergency Services and the Chief of Police is the Assistant
Director of Emergency Services; and
WHEREAS, conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have
arisen within the Town of Los Gatos caused by winter storms commencing on or about
January 9, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council does hereby find that the aforesaid conditions of
extreme peril do warrant and necessitate the proclamation of the existence of a local
emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby proclaimed and ordered that there is a local
emergency in the Town of Los Gatos which commenced on or about January 9, 1995 as a
result of flooding and high winds caused by a series of winter storms; and
IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said local emergency shall
be deemed to continue to exist until the date of termination as designated by the Director
of Emergency Services and ratified by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 17th day of January, 1995, by the following vote:
