RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN UNMARKED POLICE VEHICLE
FOR USE BY THE OFFICER ASSIGNED TO THE
SANTA CLARA COUNTY SPECIALIZED ENFORCEMENT TEAM
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Justice Assistance has awarded the Town of Los Gatos
a Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and,
WHEREAS, the grant application specified that grant funds would be used to
purchase equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the advisory board established to make a non - binding recommendation
to the Town on the use of the grant funds has recommended that the funds be used to purchase
an unmarked police vehicle for use by the officer assigned to the Santa Clara County Specialized
Enforcement Team;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Local Law Enforcement Block
Grant funds awarded to the Town shall be used for the purchase of an unmarked police vehicle
for use by the officer assigned to the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 6th day of January, 1997 by the following vote:
