1998-022 - Authorizing Town Manager to transfer existing Non Point Source Fund BalanceRESOLUTION 1998 -22 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AUTHORIZING TOWN MANAGER TO TRANSFER EXISTING NON POINT SOURCE FUND BALANCE WHEREAS, the West Valley Sanitation District (WVSD) receives storm water fees which are collected by the Santa Clara County Tax Assessor; and WHEREAS, fees are based on type of use (ie commercial, office, and residential) and size of parcel; and WHEREAS, the Town receives its funding share in the first and third quarter of the calendar year; and WHEREAS, June 16, 1997 Council adopted the 199798 operating budget which included Non Point Source funding; and WHEREAS, the storm sewer maintenance program is to systematically inspect, clean and monitor storm drainage facilities; and WHEREAS, in preparation for winter storms the Parks, Forestry, and maintenance Services Department performed a comprehensive program inspecting and cleaning storm drain inlets, catch basins, and drainage channel; and WHEREAS, Under the current agreement with WVSD transfer of prior year fund balances to offset salaries /benefits is permitted if ongoing expenditures exceed budget estimates. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized to transfer existing non point source fund balances to offset shortfalls in salaries and benefits. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of March, 1998 by the following vote: COUNCIL MEMBERS: AYES: Randy Attaway, Joanne Benjamin, Steven Blanton, Jan Hutchins, Mayor Linda Lubeck.
