RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA RELATING TO
THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COUNTY REGIONAL PUBLIC AND
INTERNAL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the agreement is intended to establish governance and terms for access and use
of Connect -CTY service. The County is sponsoring a countywide Regional Public and Internal
Notification System ( "System ") for the primary intent of providing timely communication to the
public and its employees. The County will control the use and access and is making the System
available to cities and agencies within the County of Santa Clara. The agreement shall be effective as
of the date of the last signature on the agreement. A party may terminate the agreement in whole by
providing thirty (3'0) days notice to the other ,party. No amendments, changes, modifications shall be
made without prior express written consent of both parties. Amendments shall not be effective or
binding unless approved by the county Director of Emergency Preparedness or authorized designee.
County agrees to provide the party with access to the System at no charge during the term of the
agreement only if they agree to the Agreement's terms and conditions.
RESOLVED, that the Town Manager is authorized to negotiate and execute an agreement
with the County of Santa Clara relating to the goals and objectives of the County Regional Public and
Internal Notification System.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California held on the 2nd day of March, 2009 by the following vote:
