ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PROCEDURE FOR PREFERENTIAL
_ PARKING
The Town Council of Los Gatos hereby ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 16 -50 is added to the Town Code to read as follows:
" Sec. 16 -50 Establishment of preferential parking zones
(a) The Town Council may by resolution establish preferential parking zones.
The resolution shall include the following, as well as any other matters deemed perti-
nent by the Council:
(1) The boundaries of the zone.
(2) The hours daring which preferential parking shall apply.
(3) The procedure for obtaining preferential parking permits, including
the fee therefor.
(b) Upon. adoption of a preferential parking resolution, no person shall park
in the designated area during the hours specified for preferential parking without a
preferential parking permit.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance takes effect thirty (30) days after the date it is adopted.
Within fifteen (15) days after this ordinance is adopted, the Town Clerk shall cause
it to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated
in the Town.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos on February 7, 1983, and adopted by the following vote as an
ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town Council on
February 2 1983
