ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
CONCERNING PERMITTED USES IN THE
HR DISTRICT.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
Section 18 -A.4, subdivision a. of the Zoning Ordinance
is amended. to read.:
a. Single family dwellings, provided, that there not
be more than one principal residential structure
located, on a single lot or parcel.
SECTION 2.
Section 18 -A.5, subdivision h. is add.ed. to the Zoning
Ordinance, to read:
h. Residential stru.ctu.res in addition to an existing
principal residential structure located on a single
lot or parcel, provided :
1. The total number of dwelling units shall not
exceed, that allowable under the slope density
formula.
2. A tentative subdivision map or parcel map (as is
appropriate, depending on the number of parcels)
shall be processed concurrently with the application
for the conditional use permit, the map to show a.
separate lot for the site of each residential
structure, and the conditional use permit shall
not be granted. unless the map is approved.. The
but subdivision improvement work may nevertheless
be required as a condition of the conditional
use permit.
3e The Planning Commission may, as a condition of
approval, require the installation of public
improvements, including but not limited. to,
streets, sewers and water lines.
4e The applicant demonstrates the need for an
additional dwelling without being required to
complete a subdivision or parcel map division
of the parcel.
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT and. shall be in force thirty
(30) days after the date of its adoption. The Town Clerk of the
Town of Los Gatos shall cause this ordinance to be published once
within fifteen days after its adoption, in the Los Gatos Times-
Saratoga Observer, a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly and regularly
introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 5th_ day of
November , 19730
PASSED AND ADOPTED as an ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, at a regular meeting of the Town Council, held. on
the 19th day of November , 1973 by the following
vote :
