AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS MODIFYING UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1976 -1 ALONG N. SANTA CRUZ AVENUE AND
WINCHESTER BOULEVARD FROM DAVES AVENUE TO 200 FEET SOUTH OF
BLOSSOM HILL ROAD
WHEREAS, the Town. Council adopted Ordinance No. 1332 establishing
Underground Utility District No. 1976 -1; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos finds that it
is necessary to modify the compliance date for removal of existing
overhead utilities within Underground Utility District No. 1976 -1;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1332 adopted by the Town Council on
September 20, 1976, is amended to read as follows:
(a) May 1, 1978, is hereby fixed as the time within which
utility companies shall provide necessary facilities to
serve their customers underground and the time within which
affected property owners must be ready to receive underground
service.
(b) July 1, 1978, is hereby fixed as the time within which all
poles and overhead wires and associated overhead structures
shall be removed.
The Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos shall cause this Ordinance
to be published once, within fifteen (15) days after its adoption,
in the Los Gatos Times- Saratoga Observer, a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos. This
Ordinance shall take effect and shall be in force from and after the
expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.

Los Gatos, held on the 6th day of March , 1978.
