ORDINANCE NO. 1469 <br />URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS <br />REGULATING THE HEIGHT OF FENCES AND WALLS <br />NEAR INTERSECTIONS <br />THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. <br />Section 26 -8 of the'.'Town Code is repealed. <br />SECTION 2. <br />Sections 26 -8.1 through 26 -8.8 are added to the Town Code, to read: <br />Section 26 -8.1 Fences and Walls Near Street Intersections <br />No person shall build, or keep in place, a fence or wall <br />more than three feet high in a. traffic view area unless he <br />has a permit to do so from the Director of Public Works. <br />Section 26 -8.2 Traffic View Area Defined <br />A traffic view area is the area which is within 15 feet <br />of a public street and within 200 feet of the right of way line <br />of an intersection. <br />Section 26 -8.3 Measurement of Height <br />For the purposes of Sections 26 -8.1 and 26 -8.5, height is <br />measured from the elevation of the top of the curb(or the edge <br />of the pavement if there is no curb). <br />
