ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
RELATING TO THE PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR
THEATERS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby ORDAINS:

Section 3.41.020 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos is hereby
amended as follows:
" SEC. 3.41.020: PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR DOWNTOWN
(1) The parking requirement for various uses in the Downtown are as follows:
(a) Retail and commercial stores and shops: One parking space for each
300 square feet of gross floor area
(b) Business and professional offices, banks, financial institutions,
insurance companies, social service agencies and studios: One
parking space for each 250 square feet of gross floor area
(c) Restaurant (No separate bar): One parking space for each four seats
(d) Restaurant (Separate bar): One parking space for each three seats
(e) Bars, Taverns and Nightclubs: One parking space for each three
seats
(f) Theaters: One parking space for each 300 square feet of cross floor
area
(g) For uses not specifically listed in this subsection (1), the
requirements shall be as set forth in Sec. 3.41.030 hereof.
(2) Upon adoption of the Parking Plan required by the Downtown Specific Plan,
the parking requirements in the CBD shall be 80% of those stated in
subsection (1) hereof, except for bars, taverns, nightclubs and
restaurants with separate bars, which comply with the standards of
subsection (1).

This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is adopted. Within 15
days after this ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause it to be published
once in a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the Town.
This ordinance was introduced at a. regular meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on May 20 1985 and adopted by the
following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos at a continued regular
meeting of the Town Council on June 3 , 1985.
