AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS INCREASING THE
EXEMPTION FROM THE BUSINESS LICENSE TAX ON
ALLOWABLE GROSS RECEIPTS FROM A HOME OCCUPATION
FROM $500 /YEAR TO $2500 /YEAR
The Town Council of 'the Town of Los Gatos ORDAINS:
Section 15 -5(c) of the Town Code is hereby amended as follows:
(c) Every person commencing, transacting and carry-
ing on in the Town any business in a home, whose annual gross
receipts from such business are two thousand five hundred
dollars or less, shall be exempted from the payment of a
license tax under this chapter, but shall be required to
obtain and display a license and shall pay a license fee of
ten dollars. Where the annual gross receipts from such
business exceeds two thousand five hundred dollars the license
tax as imposed in this chapter shall apply.
This ordinance takes effect 3O days after the date it is adopted.
Within 15 days after this ordinance is adopted, the Town Clerk shall cause
it to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation published
and circulated in the Town.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly introduced at
a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on
the 19th day of February , 1985.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as an Ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos,
California at a reg ular meeting of the Town Council held on the 4th
day of March I by the following vote:
