AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING SECTION 16 -43.2 OF THE LOS
GATOS TOWN CODE FOR ESTABLISHING
SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Based on an engineering and traffic survey, Section 16 -43.2 of the Los Gatos
Town Code entitled, "Establishing Speed Limits on Certain Streets," is hereby
amended to read as follows:
1. Insert the following location into the list of streets under the heading of
PRIMA FACIE SPE LIMIT DECLARED 35 MPH
Shannon Road from approximately 1,600 feet east of Happy Acres Road to
approximately 1,400 east of Suview Drive, westbound; Shannon Road from
approximately 750 east of Happy Acres Road to approximately 1,400 feet east of
Suview Drive, eastbound.
SECTION 2.
The Director of Parks, Forestry and Maintenance Services shall post appropriate
signs and pavement markings giving notice hereof on such streets at the
locations he determines are suitable.
SECTION 3.
All speed limits for streets within the Town established by prior resolutions or
ordinance of the Town in conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and
superseded.
SECTION 4
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it
