AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE TOWN CODE
RELATING TO PROHIBITION OF PARKING ON PARKWAY
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby ordains:

Section 16 -55 of the Town Code is hereby enacted to read as follows:
Sec, 16 -55, Parking on parkway,
No person shall park any vehicle whether attended or
unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a peace
officer, on any parkway except at a permanent or temporary
driveway. For purposes of the section "parkway" shall be
defined as that space between the physical boundary of the
roadway marked by curbing construction, including a rolled curb
and valley gutter, and the adjacent right -of -way line,

This ordinance takes effect thirty (30) days after the date it is
adopted. Within fifteen (15) days after this ordinance is adopted, the
Town Clerk shall cause it to be published once in a newspaper of general
circulation published and circulated in the Town.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos on March 2, 1987 and,
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, California, held on the 16th day of March, 1987 by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Eric D. Cavlson, Thomas J. Ferrito
Robert L. Hamilton, and Mayor Brent N. Ventura
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS None
