ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING
ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2 RELATING TO THE CUSTODY
OF CLOSED SESSION TAPED MINUTES
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN:
SECTION I
Section 2 -3.2 of Article I of Chapter 2 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 2 -3.2. Minutes of closed sessions.
When the Town Council holds a closed session, it shall designate the Town
Manager, the Assistant Town Manager, the Acting Town Manager, or any other
qualified employee of the Town to tape record the session, as provided in
Government Code Section 54957.2. The tapes shall be retained by the Town
Attorney as confidential records, as also provided in Section 54957.2. Any record
of discussion of the appointment, employment, evaluation of performance or
dismissal of the Town Attorney shall be retained by the Town Manager as a
confidential record, as provided in Government Code Section 54957.2.
SECTION II
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after it is adopted. Within 15 days after this
ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause it to be published once in a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the Town.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos on April 2, 1990, and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of
the Town of Los Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
on April 16, 1990.
