ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, SECTION 15.40.065(a) OF THE LOS GATOS TOWN
CODE, REGARDING "USE OF STREETS FOR STORAGE OF VEHICLES PROHIBITED"
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
Section 15.40.065(a), of Chapter 15, of the Town Code of the Town of Los Gatos is hereby
amended as follows to define the distance that a vehicle must be moved.
(a) No person who owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle shall park such
vehicle upon any street, alley or publicly owned parking lot for more than a consecutive
period of seventy -two (72) hours. For the purposes of this section, a vehicle shall be
considered to have been parked or left standing for seventy -two (72) or more consecutive
hours if it has remained inoperable or has not been moved at least five- tenths of a mile
or more during said seventy -two (72) hour period.
SECTION II
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos on May 7, 2001, and adopted by the following vote as an Ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos at
a meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on May 21, 2001. This Ordinance takes effect
30 days after it is adopted.
