ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS AMENDING
CHAPTER 2, SECTION 2.30.015, OF THE TOWN CODE RELATING
TO THE BONDS REQUIRED OF CERTAIN TOWN OFFICIALS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES HEREBY ORDAIN:
SECTION I
Section 2.30.015 of the Town Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 2.30.015. Bonds required of certain officials.
The officials of the Town set out in this section shall, before entering upon the duties of
their respective offices, be included under a master bond to the Town, which shall conform to the
provisions of the Government Code of the State relating to bonds of public officials. The master
bond shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State and the
premiums upon master bond shall be paid by the Town out of its general fund.
The limits of coverage limits are as follows. The deductible is $5,000 per occurrence.
Public Employee Dishonesty ....... ............................... 1,000,000
Forgery or Alteration ............. ............................... 1,000,000
Theft, disappearance and destruction . ............................... 1,000,000
The Town Council shall approve the master bond and when approved the master bond
shall be filed with the Town Clerk.
SECTION II
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos on July 7, 1997 and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los
Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on July 21, 1997.
This ordinance takes erect 30 days after it is adopted.
