RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ORDERING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
NORTHEAST NO. 20
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation to the Town of Los Gatos consisting of all that
unincorporated territory designated as Northeast No. 20 Annexation, located generally
along Los Gatos - Almaden Road, near National Avenue in the County of Santa Clara is
proposed for annexation to the Town of Los Gatos pursuant to Division 3 of Title 5,
commencing with Section 56000 et seq. of the Government Code;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is authorized by Section 56826 to act as the
conducting authority with exclusive power to approve reorganizations within its urban
service area;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has given due notice of this proceeding in
accordance with the requirements of the Government Code by mailing, posting, and
publication, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has held a public hearing in accordance with the
Government Code at which all interested persons who wished to speak were heard, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos has received written protests from property
owners representing less than 50 percent to the assessed value of the land within the
affected territory,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE that the following findings are true and correct:
1. The project is exempt from C.E.Q.A. under the provisions of the California
Administrative Code, Title 14, Section 15061(b)(3).
2. The territory is "Uninhabited" as defined in Section 56046 of the Government Code
of the State of California

3. The unincorporated territory is within the Town's urban service area as adopted by
the Local Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County.
4. That the County Surveyor has determined that the boundaries of the proposed
annexation are definite and certain.
5. The proposal does not split lines of assessment or ownership.
6. The proposed annexation does not create islands or areas in which it would be
difficult to provide municipal services.
7. The proposal is consistent with the Town's adopted general plan.
8. The territory is contiguous with the Town's boundaries.
9. The reason for the proposed annexation is to properly plan and provide municipal
services to the area which is contiguous to the Town.
10. No conditions were imposed by the commission for inclusion of the territory in the
urban service area of the Town.
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, a
municipal corporation of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, that pursuant to
the provisions of Section 57075 of the Government Code of the State of California, the
annexation to the Town of Los Gatos of that territory designated as Northeast No. 20, and
described in real property description and map attached hereto, marked Exhibits "A "and
"B ", respectively, is approved, and that the same be annexed to the town of Los Gatos.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion of these annexation proceedings the
territory annexed will be taxed on the regular county assessment roll, including taxes for
existing bonded indebtedness.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed,
pursuant to Section 57200 of the Government Code, to prepare under seal a certified copy
of this resolution, giving the date of passage, and immediately transmit same along with a
remittance to cover the fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the
Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County.

Description to accompany annexation of territory known as
NORTHEAST NO. 20
to the Town of Los Gatos
All that certain real property situated in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point along the southerly boundary of that certain annexation to
the Town of Los Gatos known as Northeast No. 4, said point also being the northeasterly
corner of Tract No. 5941, recorded in Book 389 of Maps, pages 36 and 37, Santa Clara
County Records, northeasterly
1) N 78° 00' E, 353.22 feet to the southeasterly corner of said Northeast No. 4
Annexation and the westerly right -of -way line of National Avenue;
2) thence southeasterly along the westerly right -of -way line of National Avenue and that
certain annexation to the Town of Los Gatos known as National Avenue No. 7, S
12 00' E, 241.91 feet;
3) thence S 78° 00' W, 134.00 feet to the westerly northwest corner of said National
Avenue No. 7 Annexation;
4) thence southwesterly along that certain annexation to the Town of Los Gatos known
as Northeast No. 18, S 78° 00' W, 126.22 feet; thence S 12° 00' E, 226 feet, more or
less to the northerly right -of -way line of Los Gatos- Almaden Road;
5) thence N 78° 00' E, 126.22 feet along the northerly right -of -way line of Los Gatos -
Almaden Road, 45 feet perpendicularly from the center line, to the southeast corner
of said Northeast No. 18 Annexation;
6) thence southeasterly along that certain annexation to the Town of Los Gatos known
as National Avenue No. 7, crossing Los Gatos - Almaden Road, S 12° 00' E, 75 feet,
more or less, to the southerly right -of -way line of Los Gatos - Almaden Road, as said
southerly right -of -way currently exists;

8) thence S 12° 38' W, 13.00 feet to the northeasterly corner of Lot 119, Tract No. 861-
- Blossom Hill Manor, Unit No. 3, recorded in Book.34 of Maps, page 47, Santa
Clara County Records;
9) thence continuing along the southerly right -of -way line of Los Gatos- Almaden Road,
S 78 00' W, 134.36 feet, more or less, to a point 1.33 feet westerly of the centerline
of Longwood Drive and the southeasterly corner of that certain annexation to the
Town of Los Gatos known as Northeast No. 1;
10) thence along said Northeast No. 1 Annexation and crossing Los Gatos - Almaden
Road parallel to the centerline of Longwood Drive, N 12 38' 50" W, 43 feet, more
or less to a point on the centerline of Los Gatos - Almaden Road;
