RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ADOPTING FEES FOR PEER REVIEW.
WHEREAS, the Town Council has authorized the Town Manager to enter into an agreement
with Cotton, Shires & Associates to serve as the Town Geotechnical Consultant; and
WHEREAS, the Town is in the process of hiring a consulting arborist to serve as the Town
Arborist;
WHEREAS, fees are to be established for geotechnical and arborist peer review and
associated administrative costs; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the peer review deposit and administrative review fee is to cover
the cost ofpeer review of a technical report by the Town Geotechncal Consultant or Town Arborist
and the Town's goal is full cost recovery for processing of development applications; and
WHEREAS, the $1500 deposit ;reflects the approximate cost :for a peer preview as
determined by staff; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; The Town Council. hereby amends the Town Fee
Schedule to establish the following fees: (a) A deposit of $1500.00 to cover the cost ofpeer review
and/or preparation of technical reports for development proposals (any remaining balance will be
refunded to the applicant and the applicantwill be billed for amounts exceeding the deposit amount);
and (b) An administrative fee of 10% of the report cost to cover the costs of staff time coordinating
the geotechnical and arborist report review processes.
FURTHER RESOLVED: This resolution shall take effect 60 days from the date of
adoption.
