A RESOLUTION BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF LOS
GATOS RECO.MMENDLNG A LOS GATOS URBAN
SERVICE AREA PLAN FOR ADOPTION BY LAFCO.
41HERfAS, on January 17, 1972, the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos adopted the LAFCO Urban Development Policies fo11 owing
the recommendation of the Planning Commission; and,.
41NEREAS, such policies call for delineation of an Urban Service
Area for Los Gatos consisting-of existing urban developed areas .plus
vacant and agriculture land eitherincorporated or unincorporated,
within the Town's sphere of influence presently served or proposed
to be served by urban facilities, utilities and services within a
five-year period; and.,
WHERERS, on January 3, 1973, the Los Gatos Planning Commission
reviewed the attached map delineating an Urban Service Area for Los
Gatos within the scope of the above definition and recommended that
the Town Council approvo and forward such map to LAFCO for their
consideration.
NOW, THERE.FORE,Bf IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos does hereby approve the attached map entitled
"Town of Los Gatos Urban ServiceArea Plan" and forward said plan
to the Local Agency Formation Commission for their consideration; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of _
Los Gatos does establish as Town policy that no development shall
occur on property not within the delineated Urban Service Area unless _
such property is within the incorporated limits of the .Town and
.provided with services by San Jose Water, Sanitation District No. 4,
and the Central Fire District.
PASSED AND ADO-PTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los~Gatos held on the 15Yh day of January
1973,by the fallowing vote:
