AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"KENNEDY TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ROAD NUMBER FOUR ANNEXATION"
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS
WHEREAS on the 2ndday of July 19 62 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"Kennedy Road Number Four Annexation°" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolutions and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of August 19 62
at the hour of 8®00 pm, , in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to-be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WH&UAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

"KENNEDY ROAD NUMBER IBM ANNEXATION"
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Lot 23 of Tract No. 61, Fillmer
Subdivision, the map of which was filed for record in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on August 23, 1937, in Book 3
of Maps, Pages 4 & 5, records of said County, said point of beginning being in
the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence, Northwesterly along the Northerly lines of Lots.23, 22, 21 and 24
as=shown upon said map of Tract No. 61, Fillmer Subdivision to the Northwesterly
corner of said Lot 20, said point being also a point in the Easterly line of Gem
Avenue as shown upon said map of Tract No. 61, Fillmer Subdivision;
Thence, Northwesterly along the 1orthwesterly prolongation of the Northerly
line of said Lot*20, Tract No. 61, Fillmer Subdivision, to the point of inter-
section of said line with the Westerly line of said Gem Avenue, said point being
also a point in the Easterly line of Lot 19, 'B'ract No. 61, Fillmer Subdivision;
Thence, Northeasterly along the Easterly line of said Lot 19 to the Northeast
corner thereof;
Thence, Northwesterly along the Northerly lines of Lots 19, 18, 17 and 16,
Tract No. 61, Fillmer Subdivision to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 16,
said point being also the Southwesterly corner of Lot 3, Tract No. 61, Fillmer
Subdivision;
Thence, {Northerly along the Westerly line of Lot 3 and further Northerly
along the Northerly prolongation of said Westerly line of said Lot 3 to the
point of intersection of said line with the centerline of Kennedy Road, as the
same now exists;
Thence, Easterly along the centerline of said Kennedy Road to the point of
intersection of said line with the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly line
of Lot 4, Tract No. 1698, Los Gatos Terrace, the map of which was filed for record
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
on May 15, 1956, in Book 68 of Maps, Page 34, records of said County;
Thence, Southwesterly along the Northerly prolongation of the Westerly
line of said Lot 4, Tract No. 1698, Los Gatos Terrace and further Southwesterly
along the Westerly lines of Lots 4, 6 and 7, Tract No. 1698, Los Gatos Terrace,
to the point of beginning.
