AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
"MITCHELL ADDITION NUMBER ON ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS on the l7thday of July , 19 61 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
Tpwn of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"Mitchell Addition Number One Annexation" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution~-did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and

WHEREAS, on the 5th day of September 19 61
at the hour of S:OO P.M. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal 'to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabit:3d territory it the County of Santa
'Clara,, and all o£ the procedu=al requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of I39, particularly Government Code
Sections 35304 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the 'own of Los Gatos and noes hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

Beginning At the Southwesterly corner of Lot 3G- of the Subdivi-
sion shown upon that certain map entitled, "Amended Map of the
Mitchell Addition", which map was filed for record in the Office of
the Rooorder of the County of Santa Clara, State Hof California, on
March 21, 1394, in Book H of Maps, Page 39, said point of beginning
being also in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence, Easterly along the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos
and along the Southerly lines of Lots 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, l and 10
of said Mitchell. Addition to the Southeast corner of said Lot 10,
Mitchell Addition;
Thence, Northerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 15,
Mitchell Addition to the Northeast `cornsr thereof;
Thence.? Northerly along the Southerly prolongation of the East-
ly line of George Street, as the same now exists, and further North-
erly along the Easterly line of said George Street to the point of
intersection of said line with a line Southerly and test (19) a-eet
distant therefrom and parallel to the Southerly line of Lot 38,
Mitchell Addition;
Thence, Westerly along the `Yesterly prollun ation of said last
named line to the point of intersection of said line with the West-
erly line of George Street, as the same nova exists;
Thence, Northerly along said Westerly line of said George Stree'
as the same now exists, to the point of intersection of said line
with the Northerly line of Lot 35, Mitchell Addition,
Thence, Westerly Along the Northerly lines of Lots 35 and 28,
Mitchell Addition to the point of intersection of said line with the
Easterly line of Rose Street, as the same now exists, said point
being also a point in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
Thence, Southerly along the Easterly line of said Rose Street
and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the point
of beginning.
