AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED
"VASONA HEIGHTS NUIV§ER NO ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF ]LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOXIN OF LOS GATOS DUES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS on the 25th day of June 19 61 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving _
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"Vasona Heights Number Two Annexation and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the dale
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of August , 1961
,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexes as determined by
said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOW5THEREFORE., the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

Beginning at the most westerly corner of Lot 5, as
said Lot is shown, upon that certain Map entitled_ "Buena Vista
Heights", which said Map was filed for record in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California,
on June 6, 1927, in Book 5 of Naps, at page 18, Records of
said County; running thence along the northwesterly line of
Lot 5, & and 7, as shown upon said Map of Buena Vista Heights,
northeasterly to the southwesterly corner of Lot 24, as said Lot
is shown upon that certain Nap entitled "Vasona Heights", which
Map was filed for record in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, on January 4, 1910,
in Boon M of Flaps, Page 89, Records of said County; thence
following the northwesterly line of said Lot 2'., as shown upon
said lap of Vasona Heights, and the northeasterly prolongation
of Lot 24 northeasterly to the center line of Wildway, as said
Wildway is shown upon yjg Map of Vasona Heights; thence follow-
ing the various courses and distances of said center line of
Wildway in a generally easterly and northerly direction to the
point of intersection with the Town Limits line of the Town of Los
Gatos said point of intersection being also the most north-
easterly corner of Lot 5 as shown upon that hereinbefore mentioned
Kap of Va^ona Heights; thence following the Town Limits line
of the Town of Los Gatos northerly and easterly to a point on
the easterly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad
Company; thence following said easterly right-of-way line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad Company and the Town Limits line of
the Town of Los Gatos in a generally southerly direction to the
point of intersection with the easterly prolongation of the
southerly line of the hereinbefore mentioned Lot 5, as shown upon
the hereinbefore mentioned Map of Buena Vista. Heights; thence
westerly along the easterly prolongation of the southerly line
of said Lot 5, Buena Vista Heights, and along the southerly line
of said Lot 3 to the point of beginning.
