Ord 0600-LARK AVENUE NUMBER THREE ANNEXATIONi ~ ORDINANCE NO. X00 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "LARK AVENUE NUMBER THREE ANNEXATION" TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE T071N OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS on the 15th day of ` May_- 19 61 , the Council of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the ,7,ewn of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as "Lark Avenue Number Three Annexation" and said action being taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said Town; and WHEREAS, said Resolution dial contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town would hear protests made by any person owning real property with- in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not 'Less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of the passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 3rd day of July , 19 61 , at the hour of 5:00 P.M. in the Los Gatos Council Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to said annexations, the said Council of said Town did hear and pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of Page of Pages the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa Clara; and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of I Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,,hereinafter described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los Gatos. That said territory, the annexation of which to the Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly described as follows: r /r .f page of Pages Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of that certain Parcel One of land as described in the Joint Tenancy Deed between Frank G. Greco and Rose Greco, and Pietro Giacomo Denevi and Jo Ann Denevi, his wife, dated December 20, 1955, recorded July 5, 1956, in Book 3541 of Official Records, Page 283, Santa Clara County Records, said point of beginning being also in the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos; Thence, Southeasterly along the Southwesterly line of said Parcel One and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the point of intersection of said line with the Easterly line of the State of California Access Road, also known as Oka Road, as the same now exists; Thence, Southwesterly along said Easterly line of said State of California Access Road to the point of intersection of said line with the Northeasterly line of Lot 8 of the subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled "Walker Tract Subdivision", which map was filed for record in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, Sate of California, on June 12, 1895, in Book F of Maps, Page 40, said point being in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos; Thence, following on and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos Northwesterly and Southwesterly to the point of inter- section with the Northeasterly line of Lark Avenue, as the same now exists; Thence, continuing on and along the said Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos and Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line f of said Lark Avenue to the point of intersection of said line with Easterly line of that certain parcel of land conveyed in the Grant Deed from Martha E. Fillmore to Ray J. Bryant and Clare V. Bryant, husband and wife, as joint tenants, recorded in Book 1104, Official Records, Page 591, Santa Clara County Records; Thence, following the exterior boundaries of said Bryant parcel and the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos Northeasterly, Northwesterly and Southwesterly to the point of intersection with the Northeasterly line of said hereinbefore mentioned Lark Avenue; - 1 - Thence, Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line of said Lark Avenue and continuing on and along the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the most Westerly terminus of said Lark Avenue; Thence, continuing on and along the various courses and distances of the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos in a generally Northerly direction to the point of beginning. 2 - ` L .t v Introduced at a Regular, meeting of the 'down Council of the Town of Los Gatos, State of California, on the 3rd day of duly , 1961 PASSED AND.
