AN ORDINANCE APPROVILNG THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATLED
";BLOSSOM FALL NUMBER NINE ANNEXATION"
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN

AS F'^LLVV: :
WHEREAS on the 4th day of April 19 60 , the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to th€
--Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as
"Blossom hill Number Nine Annexation" , and said action being
taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEPXAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town
would hear protests made by any person owning real property with-
in the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing
being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date
of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of May - , 19 60 ,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Council
Chambers in the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, said time and place being the
day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests
to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and
pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did
determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of
the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the equalized
roll, nor by public and private.owners of equal to one-half of

the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by
said legislative body; and
'WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code
Sections 35300 and 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with;
NOWP THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter
described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby farther ordain
that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Town of Los
Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly
described as follows:

BEGINNING at a point in Westerly line of San Jose-Los Gatos
Road, as the same existed in 195€3, at the point of intersection with
the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of Blossom Hill
Road, as the same now exists, said point of beginning being also on
the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE, following the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos
Easterly along the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of
said Blossom Hill Road and along the Southerly line of said Blossom
Hill Road to the point of intersection with the Southerly prolong-
a-Vi6n of the Westerly line of that certadn parcel of land as
conveyed in the Deed to Hazel Cilker Smith, by deed recorded in
Book 2137, Official Records, page.181, Santa Clara County Records;
THENCE, continuing to follow the Town Limits of the Town of
Los Gatos, running Northerly along said Southerly prolongation of
said Westerly line of said Smith parcel and along the Westerly line
of said Smith parcel to the Northwesterly corner thereof;
THENCE, Easterly along the Town Limits and along the Northerly
line of said Smith parcel and the Easterly prolongation of said
Northerly line Easterly to the Northeasterly corner of that certain
parcel of land as conveyed in the Deed to Leonard M. Ford, et ux,
by deed recorded in Book 3537, Official Records, page 385, Santa
Clara County Records;
THENCE, Southerly along the Town Limits and along the Easterly
line of said last named Ford parcel and along the Southerly
prolongation of said Easterly line Southerly to the point of
intersection with the Southerly line of Blossom Hill Road, as the
same now exists;
THENCE, still following the Town Limits and the Southerly line
of Blossom Hill Road Easterly to the point of intersection with the
Northeasterly.-corner of that certain parcel of land,-as conveyed in
the Deed to Esther R. Rice, et al, by deed recorded in Book 1408,
Official Records, page 452, Santa Clara County Records;
THENCE, still following the Town Limits and along the Easterly
line of said last named Rice parcel Southerly to the Southeasterly
corner thereof;

THENCE; Westerly along the Town Limits and along the Southerly
line of said last named Rice parcel Westerly to a point where the
Town Limits turn Southerly;
THENCE, continuing further Westerly along the Southerly line
of said Rice property and the Westerly prolongation of said South-
Westerly line of

Road, as the same existed in 1950, said point being also in the
Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos;
THENCE, following the Town Limits line and the Westerly line
