AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "LARK AVENUE
NUIVIBER ONE ANNEXATION" TO THE TUv4'!, OF LOS GATOS
THE TOITN COUNCIL OF THE TOTS? OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of March, 1959, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to
the Town of Los Gatos, said territory.being therein designated as
"Lark Avenue Number One Annexation", and said action being taken
by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town
pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
.describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town would
hear protests made by any person owning real property within the
territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being
not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of
the passage of said Resolution; and
Z HEREAS, on the 4th day of May, 1959, at the hour of
8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in the
Town Hall -of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State
of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place
fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to said annexation,
the said Council of said Town did. hear and pass upon all protests
made to said proposed annexation and did determine that no pro-
tests to said proposed annexation have been made by or on behalf of
the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to
be annexed as shown by the last equalized roll, nor by public and

private owners of equal to one-half of the value of the territory
proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Torn of
Los Gatos, and is ;uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, andall of the procedural requirements of the annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Govern.men.t
Code Sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been fully complied
with;
NOV, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the Town of Los Gatos and-does hereby
further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the.-,Town of Los Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los, ,Gatos is hereby -approved', is all that territory
situate.in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more

Beginning on the northerly Town Limits Line, Town of
Los Gatos, at the point of intersection with the westerly line of
Lot 8 of the subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled
"IT"'alker Tract Subdivision," which map was ,filed for record in the
Office of the Recorder of,the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, on June 121 1895, in Book F of Maps, Page 40; thence
running along the westerly and northerly lines of said Lot 8, VYalker
Tract Subdivision northerly and easterly to the point of intersec-
tion with the westerly line of Lot 7 of said hereinbefore mentioned
INalker Tract Subdivision; thence running along the northerly line
of said Lot 7 and along the northerly line of Lot 6, of said j'alker
+Tract Subdivision easterly to the northwesterly corner of Lot 5; of
said VJ'alker Tract Subdivision, said point being also a point in the
easterly line of that certain parcel of land described in the Deed
from Mary Lepurin to the State of California, dated February 15, 1956
recorded March 21, 1956, in Book 3444, Official Records, Page 228$
anta Clara County Records; thence running along the easterly line
of said last mentioned State of California parcel southerly to the
point of intersection with the northeasterly line of that certain
parcel of land as described in the Deed from Peter and Catherina
Scianna to the State of California, dated August 1, 1957, recorded
September 20, 1957, in Book 3894 Official Records, Page 578, Santa
Clara County Records; thence running along the northeasterly line
of said last mentioned State of California parcel, and its various
courses and distances southeasterly, easterly and southerly to the
point of intersection with the northerly line of Lark Avenue, as
the same existed July 1, 1956, said point of intersection being
also a point in the northerly line of the Town Limits, Town of

Los Gatos; thence following the Town Limits line of the Town of
Los Gatos westerly to the point of intersection with the northerly
prolongation of the easterly line of Garden Lane, as the same exis-
ted July 1, 1956; thence southerly along said northerly prolongation
of the said easterly line of Garden Lane and along said easterly
line of Garden Lane and following the Town Limits line of the Town
of Los Gatos southerly to the point of intersection with the

southerly line of Lot 15 of the hereinbefore mentioned 7Ealker Tract
Subdivision; thence westerly along said southerly line of said Lot
15 of said Y alker Tract Subdivision and the Town Limits line of the
Town of Los Gatos to the point of intersection with the easterly
line of that certain parcel of land, referred to as Parcel Two, as j

described in the Deed from Robert A. McNeil and Sallie B. McNeil to
Andrew T)ezso and Sarah Dezso, dated November 1, 1955, recorded
January 16, 1956, in Book 3387 Official rRecords,'Page 380, Santa
Clara County Records; thence northerly following the various courses
and distances of said easterly line of said last named parcel and
the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos to the point Qf inter-
section with the southerly line of that certain parcel of land as
described in the Deed from Esther Davis to Donald A. Davis and
Esther Davis, dated May 4, 1955, recorded ivlay 6, 1955, in Book 3161
Official Records, Page 403, Santa Clara County Records; thence
westerly along said southerly line of said last.named parcel and
continuing along the Town Limits line of the Tovn of Los Gatos to
the point of intersection with the easterly line of Lot 16 of the
hereinbefore mentioned Yjalker Tract Subdivision; thence northerly
along said easterly line of said Lot 16 and its northerly prolonga-
tion, fallowing the Town Limits line of the Torun of Los Gatos to
the point of intersection with the northerly line of Lark Avenue.,
as the same existed July 1, 1956; thence westerly along said
northerly line of said Lark Avenue and the Town Limits line of the
Town of Los Gatos to the point of beginning.
