Ord 0491- QUITO ROAD NUMBER ONE ANNEXATIONORDINANCE NO.-- AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGI"'ATED " QUITO ROAD NUMBER ONE A T1_1i EXATION" TO THE TO i N OF LOS GA T OS THE TOWT COUNCIL OF THE TOTtF_,T OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of February, 1959, the Council of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory.to thi-~,, Mown of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated as "Quito Road Number One Annexation", and said action being taken by the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said Town; and WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of the passage of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 16th day of March, 1959, at the hour o'clock of 8:00/p.m. in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in the Town. Mall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara., State of California,, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution for hearing protests to said annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and pass upon all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been made by or on behalf of the owners of one-half. of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown: by the last equalized roll, nor by public and private Page of Pages t 0 owners of equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, said territory is contiguos to the Town of Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government Code sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been fully complied with; NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter,described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the mown of Los Gatos That said territory, the annexation of which to the Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more particularly described as follows: Page of Pages Beginning at the point of intersection of the westerly line of the Tovan Limits of Los Gatos with the Northerly line of Bicknell Road, as the same now exists, said point of beginning being also the Southeasterly corner of that certain parcel of land as described in the Deed from Robert C. Jones and Barbara L. Jones to Lester Joseph Lessard and Grace Belle Lessard, dated January 2L. 1958, recorded February. 13, 1958 in Book 4004 .Official Records, Page 625, Santa Mara County Records; thence westerly along the northerly line of said Bicknell Road and along the southerly line of said Lessard parcel to the southeasterly corner of that certain parcel of land as described in the Deed from California Pacific Title Insurance Company to Robert C. Jones and Barbara L. Jones, dated Jea nary 11, 1954,recorded Jm nary 12, 1954 in Book 2792 Official Records, Page 305, Santa Clara County Records; thence westerly along the southerly line of said last named Jones parcel and along the northerly line of said hereinbefore mentioned Bicknell Road to the southeasterly corner.of that certain parcel of land as described in the Deed from Helen 14. Williams to Grant R. Bishop, dated September 21 1958, recorded September 15, 1958 in Book 4173 Official Records, Page 601, Santa Clara County Records; thence westerly along the southerly line of said last named Bishop parcel to, the point of intersection vi th the center line of Quito Road, as the same now exists; thence following the various courses and distances of the center line of Quito Road, as the same now exists, in a northerly and northeasterly direction to the of intersection with the northerly line of the hereinbefore mentioned Bishop parcel; thence easterly along the northerly line of said Bishop parcel to the northeasterly corner thereof being also the northwesterly corner of the hereinbefore mentioned Jones parcel., said point being also in the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos; thence following the exterior boundaries of said last named Jones parcel and the Town Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos easterly and southerly to the point of intersection with the northerly line of said hereinbefore mentioned Lessard parcel; r Thence southerly along the easterly line of said Lessard parcel and along the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos to the point of Beginning. introduced at a regular meeting of the Town I Council of the Town of Los Gatos, State of California , on the %df day of , 1959.
