AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TER-RITORY, DESIGNATED "NORTHEAST NUMBER
FOUR ANNEXATION" TO THE TO'~%! a OF LOS GATOS.
THE TOWN CCTJ14CIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS;
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of October, 1958, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution.giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to
the Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated
as "NORTHEAST NUMBER FOUR ANNEXATION," and said action being taker_ by
the Council of said Town as the legislative body of the Town
pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution describing
the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed to said.
Town; and
~JHEI~EAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the day,
hour and place when and where the said Council of said Town would
hear protests made by any person owning real property within the
territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being
not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from the date of the
passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of November, 1958, at the hour of
8:00 p.m. in the Los, Gatos Town Council Chambers in the Town Hall
of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California,
said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said
Resolution for hearing protests to said annexation, the said Council
of said Town did hear and pass upon all protests made to said pro-
posed annexation; and
WHEREAS, said Council did also at the times and places.
to which said hearing was continued in open session duly asked for
protests, if any, to the proposed annexation and has received
evidence relative to said annexation; and

did find and determine that no ?protests to said proposed annexa-
tion have been made by or.on behalf of the owners of one half of
the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by.the

last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners
of equal to one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be
annexed as.d,etermined by said legislative body:
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town of
LosyGatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of Santa
Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the annexation
of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly Government
Code Sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been fully complied
with:
NOW, THEREFORE, the said. Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the Townof Los Gatos and does hereby
further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the Town of Los Gatos.
That said territory,, the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory
situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more
particularly described. as follows:

Beginning on the .Northeasterly Town Limits line of the Town
of Los Gatos at the point of intersection of the Southeasterly line
of Lot 5 of National Tract filed for record on January 16, 1591
in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State
of California, in Book "E" of Naps, at page 67, said point of
beginning being also in the Sout'r.:wesierly lire of said National
Tract; thence along the Southwesterly line bf said Lot 5 and along
said Southwesterly line of said National Tract and along the Town
Limits line, Tow of Los Gatos, Northwesterly to the point of inter-
sagoion with the Northwesterly line of that certain parcel of land
as described in the undated Deed from Catherine Rogers to W.C. Garcia
& Associates, recorded January 9, 1956, in Book 3381 of Official
Records, at page 463, Santa Clara County Records; thence leaving
said Ton Limits line of the Town of Los Gatos and continuing along
said Southwesterly line of said National Tract northwesterly to the
point of intersection with the Southeasterly line of Lo 20 of
Tract No. 320 Terreno'Del Sol filed for record on June 25, 1946
in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State
of California, in Book 11 of Maps, at Page 1; thence along said
Southeasterly line of said Lot 20 and along the Northeasterly pro-
longation thereof, Northeasterly to the point of intersection with
the Southwesterly line of National Avenue as the same now exists;
thence along said Southwesterly line of National Avenue, South-
easterly- to the point of intersection with the aforementioned
Southeasterly line 6f Lot 5 of National Tract; thence along South-
easterly line of said Lot 5, Southwesterly to the point of
beginning.
