AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "COUNTRY SCHOOL
ANNEXATION" TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of January, 1958, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory
to the Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated
---as "COUNTRY SCHOOL ANNEXATION", and said action being taken by
the Council of said. Town as the legislative body of the Town
pursuant to a written petition therefore, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said
Town would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said
hearing being not less than twenty nor more than sixty days from
the date of the passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of February 1958, at the hour
of 7:30 o'clock p.m, in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in
the Town Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed in said Resolution for,hearing protests to said
annexation, the said. Council of said Town did hear and pass upon
all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine
that no protests to said proposed annexation have been rude by
or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of
the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined
by said legislative body; and

WHEREAS) -said territory is contiguous to the Town
of Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of
Santa Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the
annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly
Government Code sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been
fully complied with;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of The Town of Los
Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the Town of Los Gatos and does hereby
--further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the Town of Los Gatos.
That said territory. the annexation of which to the
Town of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory
situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more
narticu:larly described as follows:

parcel of land described in the Deed from Ralph Ellsman to Florence
Elsm:tin, dated April 21, 1942 and recorded April 27, 1942 in Book
1091 of Official records, at page 332, Santa Clara County Records,
said point of beginning being also in the Easterly line of Tract No.
328 Kenwood Acres, the Nap of which was filed for record in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California on June 25, 1946 in Book 10 of Maps, at page 56, records
of said County, said point of beginning being in the Town Limits of
the Town of Los Gatos; running thence along the Easterly line of
said Tract No. 328 Kenwood Acres and along the gown Limits of the
Town of Los Gatos, Southerly to the point of intersection thereof
with the Easterly prolongation of the l,~ortherly line of that certain.
parcel of land describe in the Decree Establishing the Fact of
Leath of Sarah Jones ConoTell and ve;3ting title in ary J. Littlefield,
et al, dated September 8, 1954 and -recorded September 10, 1954 in
Book 2955 of Official Records, at page 221, Santa Clara County
Records; thence `"''ester ly along said ~~:rasterly prolonged line and still
along the Town Limits of the Toona of Los Gatos to the point of
intersection thereof with the Westerly line of Hilow Road, as shown
upon said Map of Tract No. 328 Kenwood Acres; running thence along
the IiJesterly line of Hilow Road, lortherly, crossing - arcs ont Drive
and Topping 'Uay as shown upon said Map to the ~~ortherly terminus of
said :westerly line of Hilow Road in the Southerly line of the Sub-
division of Lot & of the Estate of M. S. Gardner, the Map of which
is recorded in Book "Ell of 2~~~aps, at page 81, records of Santa Clara
County, California; running thence along the Southerly line of said
Subdivision of Lot 8 of the Estate of M.S. Gardner, Easterly to the
Southwest corner of that certain parcel of land conveyed by F.M.
T routner, et ux, to the Children's Country School, a corporation, by
Deed dated October 5, 1953 and recorded October 8, 1953 in Book 2736
of Official Records, at page 5$8, Santa Clara County Records; running
thence along the Westerly, Northerly and Easterly lines of said last

named parcel of land, northerly, Easterly and Southerly to the
Southeast corner thereof in said Southerly line of Lot 8 of the
Estate of M.S. Gardner, raid Southeast corner being also in the
Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos; running thence along said
Southerly line and along the Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos,
Easterly to an angle point in said Town Limits Line, said angle
point being distant northwesterly 225,00 feet at right angles from
the Easterly line of the Rancho Rinconada de Los Gatos; thence
running parallel to said Easterly line of the Rancho Rinconada de
Los Gatos and northwesterly 225.00 feet at right angles therefrom,
and along said Town Limits of the Town of Los Gatos, Southerly to
the point of intersection of said parallel line-with the northerly
line of said parcel of land so described in the Deed to Elsman,
hereinabove referred to; running thence along the Northerly lines
of said Elsman parcel, westerly to the point of beginning,
