APFROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE TO INN OF
LOS GATOS OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of an Act of
the Legislature of the State' of California, known as the
Annexation Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 450
adopted by the Town Council of the,Town of Los Gatos on
the 25th day of November, 1957, a special election was held
on the.14th day of January, 1958, in that certain inhabited
territory contiguous to'the Town of Las Gatos designated
"Nest Side Number Two Annexation`s and which is hereinafter
more particularly described;.and
WHEREAS, at said special"election the following
question was submitted to the .qual fied electors residing
in said territory,
SHALL 'NEST SIDE NUMBER TWO. AIPNEXATION BE ANNEXED
TO THE TOj7Giv OF LOS GATOS?
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the .returns
of the votes cast at said'special election that a majority of
all votes cast in said territory on the question of said
annexation favored annexation; and
WHEREAS, it appears that.said special election and
all proceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly
in accordance' with the law,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the: Town of
Los Gatos do ordain as follows;
SECTIOIi 1. That the annexation of that certain
inhabited territory contiguous to the Town of Los Gatos
designated as !West Side Dumber Two Annexation's be and the
sane hereby is approved as contained in the aforesaid
question which was submitted at the special election held
on the 14th day of January, 1958. Said territory is described

Beginning on the Northwesterly Town Limits line of the Town
of Los Gatoa at. the point of intersection with the Southerly line
of the Subdivision shown upon that certain map entitled "pollen E.
Short Subdivision No. 3". which map was filed for record in the
Office of the Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, State of

California, on February 25, 1907, in Book/of maps, Page 65, said
point of beginning being also in the Southerly line of Lot 10 of
said Subdivision; thence following the various courses and distances
of said Southerly line of said Ellen E. Short Subdivision No. 3 to
the point of intersection thereof with the Northwesterly line of that
certain parcel of land as described in the Deed from truth Seeley
Hutchins to Mr ory Seeley Robertson, dated Decembor 29, 19V
recorded January 1943, in Book 1123 Official Records, Page 512,
Santa. Clara County Records; thence along said Northwesterly line
of said! last named parcel Southwesterly to the point of intersection
thereof with the Northeasterly line of Hernandez Avenue, as the same
now exists; thence along the Northeasterly line of Hernandez Avenue
Northwesterly- to the point of intersection thereof with the South-
easterly nine of illenwood Avenue, as the same now exists; thence along
the Southeasterly line of Ellenwood ??venue Northeasterly to the point
of intersection thereof with the Southeasterly prolongation of the
Northeasterly line of that certain parcel of land as described in the
Quit Claim Deed by and between Herman Werner Gerlach a rid Beryl J.
Gerlach, dated January 17, 1957, recorded January 22, 1957, in Book
3712 Official Records, Page 634, Santa Clara County Records; thence
a long said Southeasterly prolongation of said Northeasterly line of
said parcel so conveyed to Gerlach, amd along said Northeasterly
line of said last na med. parcel, Northwesterly to the most Northerly
corner of said last named parcel; thence along the Northwesterly line
of said last named parcel Southwesterly to the point of intersection
thereof with the Northeasterly line of Hernandez (avenue, as the same
now exists; thence along said. Northeasterly line of said Hernandez
Avenue, northwesterly to the point of intersection thereof with the

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published
once in the LOS GATOS TIMES-SARATOGA OBSERVER, a newspaper of
general circulation, printed and published in the Town of
Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly and
regularly introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the me day of,
