AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED t3St ANNON ROAD
NUMBER ONE ANNEXATION" TO TIFIE TOW11q OF LOS GATOS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL"OF T$E TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:_
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of November, 1957, the Council
of the Town of Los Gatos did pass and adopt a Resolution .giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory
to the Town of Los Gatos, said territory being therein designated
_..,as "SHANNON ROAD NT m=B ONE ANNEXATION," and said action being
taken. by the Council of se-t d Town as the legislative body of the
Town pursuant to a written petition therefor, said Resolution
describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be
annexed to said Town; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution did contain a notice of the
day, hour and place when and where the said Council of said
Town would hear protests made by any person owning real property
within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said
hearing being not less than forty nor more than sixty days from
the date of the passage of said Resolution; and
7-HIER.EA.S, on the 13th day of January 1958,, at the hour
of 7;30 p1clock p.m. in the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers in
the Town' Hall of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed in seeid Resolution for hearing protests to said
annexation, the said Council of said Town did hear and pass upon
all protests made to said proposed annexation and did determine
that no protests to said proposed annexation have been made by
or on behalf of the owners of one-half of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized
roll, nor by public and private owners of equal to one-half of
the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined
by said legislative body; and

WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the Town
of Los Gatos, and is uninhabited territory in the County of
Santa Clara, and all of the procedural requirements of the
annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, particularly
Government Code sections 35300 to 35314 inclusive have been
fully complied with;
NOIV, THEREFORE.. the said Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby approve the annexation of said territory,
hereinafter described, to the Town of `Los Gatos and does hereby
further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed
to the Town of Los Gatos.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
Town'of Los Gatos is hereby approved, is all that territory
situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, more
particularly described as follows;
Beginning at the point of intersection of the =Northerly line
of Shannon Road frith the Northwesterly line of that certain 1.345
acre parcel of land conveyed by Charles G. Srrtith, et ux, to Joserh
Vitale, et ux, by Deed dated September 22, 1953 and recorded October
23, 1953 in Boob 2745 of Official Records, at page 565, Santa Clara
County Records; running thence along the Northwesterly line of said
parcel of land so conveyed to Vitale, Northeasterly to the point of
intersection thereof with the =Northeasterly line of that certain
0.4552. acre parcel of land excepted from Parcel No. 1 as described
in the Deed from Lloyd E. Eckert, et ux, to Justin D. Vanderlaan,
e' -x, dated June 1, 1956 and recorded June 11, 1956 in Book 3519
of Official Records, at page 50, Santa Clara County Records, said
last named point of intersection being also in the Town Limits of
the Town of Los Gatos; rizrining thence along said Northeasterly line
of the 0.1;.51 acre exception hereinabove referred to and along the
Los Gatos Town Limits, Northwesterly to the point of intersection
thereof with the line dividing Lots 3 and 4, as said Lots 3 and 4
are shown upon the Map of the Subdivision of the M.S. Gardner Estate,
which said Map was filed for record in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Santa Clara, State of Californi a. on November 23, 1$$7
in Book "C" of Maps, at page 39, records of said County; running
thence alon=g the line dividing said Lots 3 and 4, Northerly to the
most Southerly corner of that certain 3.93 acre parcel of land con-
veyed by Ethel I. Goldsberry to Ethel I. Goldsberry, et al, by Deed
dated November 2, 1955 and recorded November 4, 1955 in Book 3325 of
Official Records, page 147, Santa Clara County Records; thence leaving
said Town Limits of the To~van of Los Gatos and running along the
Southwesterly and Northwesterly lines of said last named parcel of
land, Northwesterly and Northeasterly to the Northwest corner
thereof; running thence along the Northeasterly prolongation of the
Northwesterly line of said parcel of land so conveyed to Goldsberry,
et al, Northeasterly to the point of intersection thereof with the
Southerly line of Blossom. Hill Road; running, thence along the
Southerly line of Blossom Hill Road, Westerly to the point of inter-

section. thereof with the Northwesterly line of that certain parcel
of land conveyed by Eleanor K. Conger, also known as Eleanor Conger,,
and Esther R. Rice, to the Los Gatos Union School District by Deed
dated February 21; 1957, and recorded February 23, 1957, in Book
370 of Official Records, at Page 574, Santa Clara County Records;
running thence Southwesterly along said Northwesterly line of said
last named parcel.to the point of intersection thereof with the
So"tw_wasterly line of Lot 5, as said Lot 5 is shown upon said Map
of t fie Subdivision of the ill. S. Gardner Estate; running thence along
said Southwesterly line of Lot 5, Northwesterly to the point of
iwnjc-rse3tion with the Northwesterly line of Lot 3 as said Lot 3 is
shown upon the Map of the Subdivision of Lot 6 of the M.S. Gard=yes
Estate, which said Map was filed for record, in the Office of the
accrder of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, on
November 23, 1357, in Book "C" of Maps, at Page 41, records of said
County; running thence Southwest along said Northwesterly line of
said Lot 3 of said last named subdivision to the point of inter-
section thereof with the Northerly line of. Shannon Road; running
thence along said Northerly line of Shannon Road, Easterly to the
