AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF LOS GAT OS TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF
GARDEN LANE IN THE TOWN OF LOS GAT OS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TMN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That public interest required, and the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos hereby declares its intention to order
the vacation of a portion of Garden Lane in.the Town of Los: Gatos,
which said portion to be vacated is shown upon a Map bearing the
legend: "Plat Showing Portion of Garden Lane Proposed to be
Abandoned by the Town of Los Gatos, California", which Map is
hereby approved and is hereby ordered filed in the Office of
the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos; and which said Map
is hereby referred to for the particulars as to the proposed
vacation. Further reference is made to the Report and Re-
commendation of the Planning Commission concerning this matter
dated April 3,1957, on file with the Town `Clerk..
Section 2 That the day of 1957, at the

hour of 7:30 p.m. of said day, in t e Council Chambers of the
Town Hall, in the Town of Los Gatos, is hereby fixed as the
time and place for hearing all persons interested in, or ob-
jecting to, the proposed vacation.
Section 3 That the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos is hereby
directed to post, or cause to be posted, conspiciously ralong the
line of that portion of Garden Lane proposed to be vacated,
notices of such vacation by posting such notices not more than
300 feet apart, but at least three (3) shall be posted on said
portion of said road-and shall be posted at least ten (10) days
before the time set for public hearing
Section That in the herein-proposed vacation of a portion of
said road, the Town. Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby elects
to proceed under and in pursuance of the "Street Vacation Act of
194111, and being Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highway "

Section 52 That the portion of said Garden Lane intended to be
ordered vacated is particularly described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California., being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Westerly line of Lot 49
as said Lot is shown on Map of Tract #1233, Foothill
Farms, recorded in Book 76 of Maps atPages 30 and
31, Santa Clara County Official Records, said point
being at the intersection of said Westerly line with
a Northeasterly line of the lands of the State of
California; thence from said point of beginning South
700 151 120" East along the line dividing the lands
of the-State of California and said Lot 49 and along
the Southeasterly prolongation of said line 347.55
feet to the most Easterly line of Lot 29 as said Lot
is shown on Tract #1225, Highland Oaks (unrecorded);
thence Southeasterly along a curve to the left with
a radius of 40 feet (a tangent to the curve at this
point having a bearing North 120 331 50" East) through
a central angle of 53 521 10" an arc distance of
37,61 feet to the Southerly line of Garden Lane as
said Lane is shown on a Map of the Walker Tract Sub.
recorded in Book F of Maps at Page 40, Santa. Clara
County Records; thence along the Southerly line of
said Lane forth 700 151 20" West 335•$4 feet to an
intersection with the Southeasterly prolongation
of the herein abovementioned'Westerly line of said
Lot 49; thence along said Westerly line North 270
0$1 20" Nest 43.89 feet to the point of beginning
and being a portion of-*I `Garden Lane 30 feet wide
as shown on the herein abovement.oned Map of the
Walker Tract Subdivision.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the"Los Gatos
Times-Observer". a newspaper of general circulation, printed and
circulated in the Town of Los Gatos; within fifteen (15) days
of its passage.
