The roan Council, as hereinafter -prov; ded , shall
have the vo7.%,:7- to take action upon variances in
the a-pli ca ion of the orovisions of 'L-h s ordinance
t^ the follvninG extent and no further:
a. To vary or modify the strict application
of any of the regulations or ]pro -risions f. onrained
in this ordinance in cases in which -there are
vractical difficulties or unnecessary hardships in
the way of such strict; application.
b. To ,erm t the extension of a district
_ere the boundary line thereof divides, a lot in
one o,~vner ship at the time of the passage of this
ordinance.
SECTION, 2® -F~ac_" on 13.; of Ordinance No. 276 of the Town of
Lo Tatos is hereby amended. to read as follows:
After the co:aclusion of the aforesaid hearing the
Planning Commission ;shall make a written finding
of facts shoti°ding whether the three foregoing quali-
f ica ;ions apply to the land, building and/or use
for .,which the variance is sought and. shall recommend

SECTION 3. Section 13.4 of O,: dinan ce '.'To. 276 of the Toim of
Los Gatos is hereby emended to read as follo.,as:
At its next regular meeting following receipt of
the f ind ing of fe c s and recommendation of the
Planning Commission, the Twm. Council shall hear
such arplscation and, after careful and corlip fete
consideration of the accompanying finding of
facts and recommendation shall by resolution
either grant or deny the variance, or shall take
such other action as it my deem advisable.

published in the Tov°m of Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was duly and regularly in-
traduced at a regular meeting of the Tom Council of the Totin of
