FOLLMS
Sec. I. No person shall construct or maintain within the
Town any privy, dry earth closet, or other place for the
deposit of human urine or excrement, except such flush closets
as are connected with the Town sewer, and constructed and main-
tained in accordance with the plumbing regulations of the Town,
and except as is hereinafter provided.
Sec. II. Cesspools and septic tanks, designed and located
so as to meet with the approval of the Health Officer, may be
constructed in any part of the Town which is not provided with
sanitary sewers. Provided, however, that as soon as the Town
shall construct sanitary sewers in such territory, the said
cesspools and septic tanks shall within sixty (60) days be
abandoned and the premise connected with the Town sewer. Tanks
must be fly tight.
See. III. It shall be unlawful to deposit, or allow to be
deposited, any human urine or excrement in any place in the Town
except in a properly constructed flush closet connected with
sewer, cesspool, or septic tank and constructed and maintained
in accordance with the plumbing regulations of the Town.
See. IV. Contractor's temporary privies may be built
subject to the following conditions and requirements.
1. The privy shall be constructed with tight walls
and a tight-fitting door provided with a
spring or other self-closing device, and
all ventilation openings shall be screened
with fly-proof screen in such a manner that
no flies can enter.
2. The door must be kept closed except while a
. person is entering or leaving.
3. The receptacle for excrement or urine must
be a hole in the earth of such depth that
the excrement will at no time come within
two feet of the surface of th.e ground.
4. All matter deposited in the vault shall be
completely covered at least once a day
with fresh unslaked lime.

6. Immediately upon the removal of the privy,
the contents of the vault shall be covered
to a depth of not less than one (1) inch

filled with clean earth.
Sec. V. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Sec. VI. Any person violating any terms or conditions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and, upon conviction thereof' shall be punished by a fine
of not to exceed `.iPME HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00), or by
imprisonment in the County jail for not to exceed ninety
(90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
