An ordinance establishing neater rates for the town of
Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California.
THE BOARD OIL ` p.USTEW OF 1 TOVI of Los Gatos do ordain
as follows:-
The Whedu.le rates to be charged for grater rate payers
to be collected. for furnishing water to customers within the
Town of Los Gatos for the year commencing duly 1st, 1913,
shall be as follows
Section 1. For tenements occupied by a single family
of not more than five persons, per month, .90
Sec. 2. For families and private boarding houses of
more than five persons, shall be charged for each person a-

Children of seven years and under are exempt from the
above rate.
Sec. 3. For small families occupying rooms in second

Sec. 4, For restaurants and eating houses, per month,
$3.00 to 5.00
Sec. 5. For hotels and lodging houses, rate subject
to special agreement in accordance with the quantity of water
used, to be determined by meter as provided in Section 25.

Sec. 21. For irrigation, for use of hose for sprink-
ling flowers and grass plats of not more than fifty square

Sec. 22. For use of hose in front of stores and
shops for washing windows and -sprinkling sidewalks,

See. 26. For eater used by meter, minimum charge of
$1.00 per month, which entitles user to 4000 gallons. All
over 4000 gallons , per 1000 gallons - .15
Sec. 27. Any consumer dissatisfied with the amount
of his monthly rate for water can have the same adjusted by
meter by paying the Water Company a reasonable price for set-
ting a meter at the rate per thousand gallons as provided
in. Section 26 of the foregoing tariff rates.
See. 23. The Board of Directors of the Water Company
shall have power in all eases to ascertain by inter the quan-
tity of water used and fix the prices as provided in Section
26
Sec. 29. Immediately upon the alarm of fire all persons
using water for irrigating purposes must close their faucets
and keep them: closed during the continuance of the use of the
water by the Fire Department.
Sec. 30. For water wilfully or carelessly allowed
to run over night through a hose, a sprinkler, or a faucet,
the rate shall be, per night, . - 2.50
See. 31. For eater used from hydrants for fire purpo- .
ses by the gown of Los Gatos, for each hydrant, per annum,
payable quarterly- 5.00
Sec.' 32. Pop water used for flushing seders by the
'dawn of los Gatos, per 1000 gallons, .03
See. 33. This ordinance shall tare effect and be
in force from and after dune 30th, 1913.
See. 34. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
